We are raising funds to replace the marley on the dance floor. Every class, every rehearsal, every moment of movement in our space deserves a foundation worthy of the dancers who create their art.
How to Give:
Donate through PayPal Giving Fund, search "Zohar" on the platform, and 100% of your gift comes directly to us. No minimums. Every amount matters.
Whether you give $10 or $1,000, you are contributing to a studio that will carry Ehud's vision forward for years to come.
The fundraiser runs through the entire month of July. Please share this with anyone who has been touched by Ehud's work, by Zohar, or by the simple belief that movement changes lives.

Ehud founded Zohar School of Dance in Palo Alto in 1979 after a journey that took him from a kibbutz childhood steeped in Israeli folk dance, through elite athletics on Israel's National Volleyball Team, to a back injury during military service that led him to dance as physical therapy — and ultimately to New York, where he trained under legends like Alvin Ailey, Martha Graham, Robert Joffrey, and Luigi. Settling in the Bay Area, Ehud built Zohar around the belief that dance is for everyone, regardless of age or background, and that conviction shaped everything that followed: a performing company, the IndepenDANCE program that brought dance to at-risk youth across more than a dozen East Palo Alto and Bay Area sites, Juvie Jazz for incarcerated youth, classes for children with special needs, and a summer festival celebrating the region's diverse dance community. Since Ehud's passing, Zohar continues under the direction of his wife, Daynee Lai-Krauss, and Vivian Sam - carrying forward the community he first imagined, and keeping the splendor of Zohar shining brightly.
