This 2.5 hour class will introduce the basic concepts and vocabulary of acting, cold-reading, scene analysis, shot sizes and how that affects your performance. Be prepared to memorize one scene .
Filming work will be done outside in pairs and socially distanced
(without a mask). Playback will be done inside where masks are required.

*Fully vaccinated refers to two weeks following receiving both doses of a two-dose vaccine or a single dose of a one-dose vaccine considered effective by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (“CDC”) and/or the World Health Organization (“WHO”)). Zohar may also require that students receive any booster shots that may be recommended by the health authorities.
Cristina Anselmo has taught primarily acting technique and on-camera technique since 2007. She has also taught audition technique, comedy, directing, and improvisation. In addition to teaching youth at American Conservatory Theatre, Word for Word, Westmont High School, and EnActe, she has a private coaching business for young actors and adult actors interested in working on their monologues and songs for high school/college entrance exams, as well as upcoming auditions.
In the Bay Area, she has appeared on stage at SF Playhouse, Capital Stage, Jewel Theatre, Stanford Summer Repertory, TheatreWorks, and Pacific Rep, among others. LA credits include shows at A Noise Within and Grove Theatre Center. She was a member of Theatre of N.O.T.E., Actors Alley at the El Portal, and Pasadena Shakespeare Company. In addition, she was a member of the inaugural class of the Antaeus Academy under the artistic directorship of Dakin Matthews. She trained at LAMDA, and received her B.A. at Santa Clara University.
