Frances Devlin will be teaching this Vocal Intensive virtually via Zoom. She has taught voice for over 20+ years (American Conservatory Theater's MFA program, Summer Intensive, and the Young Conservatory) and has experience as a Broadway tour performer and various musical theater workshops. She also teaches acting and audition preparation for musical theater. Frances brings to you not just technique, but also experiences from the industry. She is a graduate from Northwestern (B.A.) and ACT (MFA).

This course is suitable for students of all levels. Beginning students will discover their best singing voice, and more experienced singers will gain an opportunity to thoroughly exercise their vocal muscles. Through group work utilizing the Garcia-Marchesi vocal tradition, all students will build their breath support, extend their vocal range, blend resonance areas, and increase their quality of tone and volume. Students will also learn techniques to help protect their voices when they sing. Vocal Intensive is a course that may be taken as frequently as desired, and many students return often throughout the year. There will be hand-outs, possibly a few 15 min check in's privately via Zoom with Francie, and exercises you can incorporate into your vocal practice/warm ups. Feedback is very important to Frances as a teacher.
